  42.   This is the SHAREWARE version of TE/2.  Please be aware that it
  43. does not contain several features which are present in the full,
  44. registered version of the program.  The most notable of these
  45. features being Compuserve B+ Protocol and the TE/2 Script Language. 
  46. The script.doc file is included with this package so as to provide
  47. you with an indication of the features and functions of the script
  48. language and to assist you in deciding whether or not to register for
  49. the full version of TE/2.

  51.   The following is the "Restrictions" section from TE2.DOC:

  55.     This version of TE/2 is supplied for personal, private use.
  56.   Feel free to distribute TE/2 given these restrictions:

  58.    o  the program shall be supplied in its original, unmodified
  59.       form, which includes this documentation and all accompanying
  60.       support files;

  62.    o  no fee is charged;
  63.  
  64.    o  use for profit without a license is prohibited;
  65.  
  66.    o  the program may not be included or bundled with other
  67.       goods or services. Exceptions may be granted upon written
  68.       request only.

  71.     If you are using TE/2 and find it of value, you are expected to
  72.   become a registered user.  Please refer to the accompanying file
  73.   ORDER.FRM for ordering and pricing information.  If this file is
  74.   unavailable for any reason, please contact Oberon Software by one
  75.   of the methods listed at the beginning of this document.

  78.   the Oberon Software for a licensing arrangement.

  82.   For a quick start, if you have are running OS/2 version 1.1, 1.2, or
  83. 1.3 (SE or EE) and you have a Hayes compatible modem attached to COM1,
  84. all you need to do to start TE/2 is:
  85.  
  86.     1. Make a directory on your hard disk and copy all the files
  87.        except COMMPAK2.DLL into that directory.
  88.  
  89.     2. Copy COMMPAK2.DLL into a directory referred to in your LIBPATH
  90.        setting from CONFIG.SYS.
  91.  
  92.     3. Change directory so that you are in the directory you created
  93.        above and type "TE2" at the OS/2 prompt (or click on TE2.EXE if
  94.        you've been doing all of this from the File Manager).
  95.  
  96.   If your setup does not match the above requirements, or it does but
  97. for some reason this does not start TE/2, or TE/2 starts after emitting
  98. an error message, then you must read at least the first several sections
  99. of TE2.DOC to get started.
  100.  
  101.   Everyone should read the TE2.DOC file, however, to find out about all
  102. the options you have available for customizing TE/2 to you individual
  103. tastes and requirments.

  107.   Please read the "Disclaimer" section at the end of TE2.DOC also.  Use
  108. of TE/2 will imply that you agree with the terms of that liability
  109. statement and to the restrictions given above.

  113.   Feel free to call the Oberon BBS number given above with any questions,
  114. problems, compliments, or chit chat.  The latest shareware version will
  115. always be available there.  The BBS uses a US Robotics Courier HST
  116. 14400 modem, No Parity, eight data bits, one stop bit and should be
  117. available 24 hours daily.
